Research Station
Geometry + Dynamics
Welcome to the Research Station Geometry + Dynamics
The Research Station Geometry + Dynamics is a vibrant research center at the Institute for Mathematics of Heidelberg University. We conduct fundamental research in geometry and dynamics, explore applications and interactions with other sciences, and engage in communicating mathematics to the broader public. The Research Station also hosts the Heidelberg Experimental Geometry Lab (HEGL).
We are involved in the DFG funded Research Training Group Asymptotic Invariants and Limits of Groups and Spaces, joint with KIT, the Collaborative Research Center CRC/TRR 191: Symplectic Structures in Geometry, Algebra, and Dynamics, the DFG Priority Programm SPP 2026: Geometry at Infinity, and in the Excellence Cluster STRUCTURES - A unifying approach to emergent phenomena in the physical world, mathematics, and complex data.
